Best way to store Seeds

By happy gardener at 2012-01-30 18:05:19
1 Allow them to dry out well before storing.
2. Store them in Paper bag.
3. Do not store them in plastic bag since it retains moisture and it could create fungus.
4. Store them in cool dry place like basement or refrigerator and it would be viable for more time.
5. If you need very long term storing then you can store it in freezer. But seeds like sqash, gourd etc can't be stored in freezer.
6. Some seeds like garlic, onion etc. are needed to be stored in mesh bags.

2. Now take the seeds out from the water and put it in a sandwich/zipper bag and do not add any water in it otherwise it would rot. close the baggie well so that the moisture stays inside.
