Sprouting Amaryllis seed - How to

Sprouting Amaryllis seeds are very easy. Here is how to germinate them in water.

1. Amaryllis seed looks like this:

2. Place seeds in a cup of water or whatever container you like.

3. After few days (1-2 weeks or more) you will see sprouts.

4. Let they grow for many more days (1-2 weeks) again till the seedling grows upto 2 inch. If you plant sprouted seeds in soil they may not survive so you need to wait till they get bigger.

5. When they are big enough plant them in potting mix. I use miracle grow potting mix.

6. Water them normally but do not over water them. When you feel soil is dry water again.
